Senior Exploration Geoscientist at Shell Myanmar Energy Ltd SME Risks and Volumes
Simon graduated from Edinburgh University with a BSc(hons) in Geology and then an MSc in Petroleum Geoscience from Imperial College, London.
Simon is a highly qualified exploration geologist with over 12 years’ experience covering the full spectrum of subsurface maturation: from New Business Development to development feasibility studies.
Since joining Shell in 2005, his field of work has taken his across the globe to many countries. From the Salym oil fields in Western Siberia, Russia, to Kijswijk in the Netherlands as an exploration Geologist, to Senior Explorer in the Exmouth Plateau and Greater Gorgon in Perth, Australia and now to Malaya.
Simon now lives in Kuala Lampur and still works for Shell as a Senior Exploration Geoscientist as are lead in the Rahine Basin in Myanmar.
