Welcome to Roundwood Park PTA.
We are a fundraising committee run by parents and carers of children at Roundwood Park school.
We support the school by raising money to enhance the school environment and our children’s education. We ensure that all the funds raised benefit all of the children at the school.
Our established events calendar is well supported, providing fun and relaxed events, such as the Quiz Night and Comedy Night where parents can meet and enjoy a welcome and entertaining night out. We run several second hand uniform sales and offer refreshments at all the parent consultations. We aim to raise approximately £15,000 for the school every year. Recent campaigns have included a new minibus, nearly 600 new classroom tables and chairs and prior to that, a dining room refurbishment.
Soon we will announce our new two-year fundraising campaign, which we hope will provide more needed resources for our ever developing school.
Many secondary schools no longer have a PTA, please help us to keep ours going.
We are always very grateful for any volunteers that can help run our events. With increasingly busy lifestyles it is not always easy to commit to events and activities so we operate a bank of helpers that are emailed prior to each event to assist with different elements as their time allows. Without the support we receive from our committee members and helpers, the hugely beneficial projects would not be possible. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you can help.
If you cannot attend any events but would like to support the PTA we also run a donation scheme on Parent Pay and accept standing orders. These alone are becoming more popular and have raised as much as £300 per month.
Roundwood Park PTA is a registered charity and full details of the funds raised are presented in the PTA Treasurer’s Report at the Annual General Meeting each November.
Details of our meeting dates and events are on our newsletters or please follow us on Twitter @RPS_PTA.
