Our School Charities

At RPS we value our local, wider and global community by way of supporting our three nominated school charities.

Through our endeavours at school we support three charities, raising both funds and awareness for one local charity, one national charity and one international charity. We support each one for a maximum of three years, at which point we ask our students to nominate a replacement. Student-led debate and voting follows before a new charity partner is confirmed. Our three current partners are detailed below:

Essex & Herts Air Ambulance

Our current local charity is the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance

, who provide a Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) by bringing the hospital to the critically ill and injured patients of Essex, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. Following a staff member’s personal experience with the service, EHAAT was nominated and overwhelmingly elected by our students as our new local charity partner. We are delighted to welcome them into the RPS family; their volunteers have already enriched our community through frequent visits and contributions to our careers events, it is proving to be a fantastic partnership.

REACH

REACH is our current national charity and we are delighted that our students chose this one. Our fundraising ensures that the charity can fulfill their mission of empowering children and young people with Upper Limb Difference to live a life beyond limits.

Reach is a friendly, caring place for children with upper limb differences and their families for the whole of their lives. They give support and information to inspire and build confidence and offer fun activities to encourage Reach children to participate on their terms, whatever their age or ability.
