KS4 Overview
The information below will give you a good overview of learning in KS4 here at Roundwood Park School
Subjects & Lessons Yrs 10 & 11
Students have a mixture of core subjects (those which are compulsory) and option subjects. The option choices are made in the Spring term of Year 9. Each option subject is taught for 3 hours per week.
Maths and English are set across the full year group in Years 10 and 11. Combined science is largely set by ability, separate science is taught in four mixed ability classes.
For a number of students it is appropriate that at least one of their options is a guided curriculum support option.
Relationships, Sex and Health Education, Citizenship and Careers are delivered through a series of one day workshops.
