World Challenge
Every 2 years we take RPS students on amazing month-long worldwide trips with sustainable school travel specialists World Challenge.
2018 saw us take over 50 year 11 and 12 students on an expedition of a lifetime to Zambezi and Botswana in Africa.
Please have a look at the presentation one of our students produced following their return – what incredible memories made and experiences had!
After obvious changes to plans in 2020, our next World Challenge will hopefully go ahead in 2022, come back to this page for further information and in the meantime visit the World Challenge website to read about what they do / how they help and the incredible opportunities they offer our young people.
Some of the things our students told us after their 2018 trip….
“A month I will remember forever”
“An experience like no other, you get to see how different cultures live and it is an experience that most people our age do not get to have”
“I came back more independent, more confident and more appreciative of things around me”
“Everywhere we went we saw new sights, smelt new smells and heard new noises- it was incredible”
“It was such an enriching experience I now want to study so that I can work in Africa- it was amazing!”
“Hiking, camping and cooking on fires makes for the best adventure ever”
“Rafting on the Zambezi, learning from the Kalahari bushmen, visiting Chobe National Park, kayaking in the Okavango- WOW!”
