After completing her A levels, Sarah went to Bristol University to study Accountancy & Finance where she gained a 1st class honours BSc in 2003. Sarah is now a Senior Manager within Grant Thornton’s Financial Services Group. Sarah specialises in financial due diligence assignments for financial services firms (insurance intermediaries, IFAs, asset management firms). Sarah also works closely with Grant Thornton’s regulatory team, providing a financial perspective on areas of regulation such as client money, regulatory capital and third party payments. Client money and regulatory capital are particularly “hot topics” in the current economic climate as a result of the issues brought to light by the financial crisis and, in particular, the collapse of institutions such as Lehman Bros.
After studying Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE) at Oxford University and graduating in 2006, Katharine’s career has developed in the field of accounts and digital innovation. She has also been a Senior Campaigner for Change.org and involved in supporting the digital campaigning for a US Senator. Katharine is currently a Lead Organiser at FutureGov which deals with digital innovation and change.
Adam gained a BA(hons) in Events Management from the Leeds Metropolitan University. During and since that time he has gained experience in a wide range of events management positions and activities. Currently Adam is the Course Coordinator of MSc Oil and Gas Management and Bachelor of Business Administration at Greenwich School of Management. Whilst working at Greenwich School of Management, Adam continued his studies and gained an MBA (distinction) in Strategic Management from the University of Plymouth in 2012.
Cheng left us in 2006 and went to the University of Nottingham to study Civil Engineering where he gained an MEng (hons) in 2011. Cheng has returned to Harpenden and currently works at DeLoittes as a Senior Associate.
Kate gained a BA in French & Management from the University of Leeds in 2009. She has since worked in marketing and brand management before establishing her career in accounts and account management. Kate is currently an Account Manager at Great Ormond Street Hospital Childrens’ Charity.
After his A levels, James gained a technology scholarship with Cambridge Consultants through the Year in Industry scheme. He then gained a BSc (hons) and an MEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Cambridge. He has worked as a design engineer for Telsis and currently is a Senior Engineer at Bloombergs.
After leaving RPS, Jason gained a BSc in Geography from UCL in 1992. He then worked for Tottenham Hotspur and Thorn Securities on computer programming and analysis. From there he joined GSK and became Director of Shared Financial Services and continued to make progress through a number of key positions to his present post where he is the Head of Architecture for R&D and Integrated Technologies for GSK.
