20-something Katie in quarter life crisis

Actress and blogger Katie Brennan (class of 2005) and her band look at the quarter life crisis in a show in London this Saturday, March 19. Katie, who hails from Harpenden and was a student at Roundwood Park School, is performing Twentysomething: The Quarter Life Crisis Cabaret at St James Theatre in Palace Street from 8pm.

Packed with music, comedy and cabaret, the show tackles everything from Facebook to flat shares and weddings to woeful bank accounts as it looks at twenty somethings struggling to find their place in the world.

Original songs have been written by Joseph Atkins and joining Katie will be Debbie Chapman, vocals, Matt Billups, drums and Sam Weston, bass.Katie trained at the Guildford School of Acting and has had numerous credits at theatres across the UK.

Ashley Tomlins (class of 2006), recently relocated back to Canada and  recently married is now Ashley Quirke -Tomlins and works for the British High Commission in Ottawa where he is Head of Science & Innovation Network.

Alexander Thomas to give lecture to local History Society on March 22nd 2016

Alexander Thomas (class of 2009 ) is currently doing research into Archaeology and Anthropology for a Ph.D. at Bristol University, having earlier gained a BSc (hons) in archaeology at Bristol.

He is taking time to give a talk about ‘Harpenden, Batford and the Danelaw Boundary’ to the Harpenden Local History Society on Tuesday 22nd March 2016 in the small Public Hall , Southdown Road, Harpenden at 8.00 p.m. .

Jade to give Charity concert on 30th March for Asthma UK

Jade Bultitude [ class of 2008] is an accomplished flautist.

She is doing a charity concert in Harpenden on the 30th March! Her younger sister, Milly, is currently poorly with severe asthma and constantly in and our of hospital! This is not the way a 20 year old should be living!  So Jade is  raising money for Asthma UK!

The concert is at 7pm in Park Hall Harpenden on the 30th March! The tickets are £5 and include a glass of wine! I would love to see you all there.

Robin Mann [1989]

After his A levels, Robin went to study Engineering at Swansea University. After this he studied Medicine at the University of Wales College of Medicine which was followed up by taking an MSC in Health Education at UCL

Robin was then appointed Development Manager at the Royal College of Physicians and later as Head of Clinical Design at NHS Wales Information Service.

He then  moved to Australia as a Senior Manager at KPKM Australia in Brisbane. He is currently Director of KPMG Australia in Sidney.
