The television programme ‘Silent Witness’ which is currently show on BBC is produced by Ceri Meyrick ( class of 1983 ).
Ceri started as a Radio Production Trainee at BBC Wales, and has worked as a Script Editor and Producer in the UK and Ireland for the BBC, Carlton, World Productions, Granada Kids, Chatsworth, RTE, Parallel and Accomplice.
Ceri Meyrick is a Development Producer at BBC Drama. She runs the BBC Drama Writers Academy with John Yorke. The three month course trains eight writers a year to write for CASUALTY, EASTENDERS, HOLBY CITY and DOCTORS.
Favourite productions she has worked on include: BALLYKISSANGEL, THE CLINIC, DIRTY TRICKS, BERTIE & ELIZABETH, POCOYO, WALES PLAYHOUSE and STREETLIFE.
During Ceris’s time at the BBC she was the story produce for Holby City at elstree studios, the series producer for BBC’s flagship, 4 times weekly soap set in the East End of London, Eastenders.
She also produced the period crime drama, Father Brown and most recently as the produce of BBC1’s pathology/forensic crime thriller ‘Silent Witness’.
Ceri is currently the Development Executive for Daytime drama at the BBC
