Sophie Holmes [2007]

After gaining a BSc in Psychology from the University of Nottingham, Sophie went on to work in the music and audio industry as a project manager. From there she moved into information management and currently she works for The Futures Laboratory as an Event Coordinator/Junior Journalist writing concise 150 – 250 word assignments targeted at brands and experts across five key sectors; Beauty, Food and Drink, Tech, Luxury and Retail. Sophie is also Editor for feminist heartbreak ‘zine ‘Achey Breaky Heart’.

Christie Welch [2008]

Christie gained a BSc in Psychology from the University of Bournemouth. Christie did an internship at Breast Cancer as a Community Fund raiser.  She has continued her career in charitable fund raising taking up positions at the Marie Curie Institute in London where she is currently an Individual Giving Fund Raiser.

Elliot Pettigrew 2008

Elliot Pettigrew (2008)

Elliot gained a BA (hons) degree in Psychology from the University of Sheffield. He then gained a PGCE in elementary education and teaching from the Institute of Education ( University of London). He then experienced a variety of occupations from business credit control, crew member for Easy Jet, and two years doing Teach First at a primary school, before going back to retail management where he is currently a Planning Manager at Sainsbury’s in London.

Moriom Rahman [2007]

Moriom gained a BSc in Psychology from Birmingham University and then an MSc [merit] from the University of Aston.  Moriom’s career path has since moved into Human Resources and she is currently the HR Coordinator at HSBC Global Banking & Marketing in London.

Sophie Stables goes to Sri Lanka

Sophie [class of 2011] has just graduated with a 2:1 (Hons) in Psychology from Stirling University and spent the summer travelling in S.E. Asia. After a brief return to the UK before setting off again but to Sri Lanka.

Sophie leaves on 14th September to embark on a 3 month volunteer graduate mental health placement. Kings College London have a trauma unit near Colombo where she will work under clinical psychologists and psychiatrists. It is mainly based in their hospital but she will also be working with children and ladies in a half way house where she will live and eat with the locals.

Ellen joined Roundwood in the Sixth Form and after her A levels went to Bath Spa University where she gained a BSc (Hons) in Psychology. She is currently a Client Relationship Manager (equities) at Berenberg.
