Extreme temps in Australia!
Mike and Angie Chamberlain, who both taught here several years ago, are back living in their home territory of Queensland. They are north of the extreme temperatures in NSW and are safe. They write “We live above flood levels and are not in a bushfire-prone area but it has been very hot for the past week. We have had temperatures up to 35C and very humid – luckily we are on the coast – we haven’t had to endure high 40’s that many places get with winds off the deserts in central oz. A cool change just came through this morning and it is a pleasant 27C”.
These dangerously high temperatures follow a period of storms, high winds and flooding!
