Imran, a former Head Boy, gained an MA(hons) in Economics from Edinburgh University. He then gained an MSc in Political Economy of Development from SOAS. Using his academic skills he undertook numerous assignment throughout the deneloping world including 2 years as an Economis at the Ministry of Finance & Economic Development in Sierre Leone. After working in Vanuatu, Imran is back in the Uk, now married and working as a Senior Policy Adviser at the Cabinet Office.
After her A levels, Jess gained a BSc(hons) in Ecology & Wildlife Management from the University of Edinburgh. From there she went to the University of Cape Town, South Africa, to gain first an MSc (distinction) in Conservation Ecology and then a Ph.D. in Zoology. Jessica moved back to Scotland where she is currently an Ornithology Advisor at the Scottish Natural Heritage.
After leaving Roundwood Park in 2003, Ruth graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a First Class degree in French & European History in 2007. During her time at university she took part in the Erasmus exchange programme, spending a semester at L’Universite de Franche-Comte as well as working at advertising agency Euro RSCG Worldwide in Paris. After graduating she spent four years in the advertising industry at London agencies CHI & Partners and DDB London, before joining growth strategy and innovation consultancy The Foundation in 2012 as a Senior Consultant.
Alex gained a BSc in Geography from Southampton university then completed a MSc in Environmental Protection and Management from Edinburgh university. Alex previously worked as a research scientist at Sustainable Soils and Grassland Systems at Rothamsted Research in Harpenden. She has now moved to the National Physics Laboratory [NPL] but is currently working part time at Rothamsted Research to complete her latest publication on bioenergy.
