RPS – Radio Verulam Summer Transition Camp

This summer saw the joining together of Radio Verulam and Roundwood Park School to give young people in our community a smoother transition from primary to secondary school, whilst teaching them about exciting and fulfilling careers in the radio industry.
Clive Glover and his team delivered a series of informative and interesting sessions, including how to use sound editing software and the type of equipment that is used in a radio studio. The students were visibly motivated and engaged by this and spoke very highly of their experience at the camp.

At Roundwood Park School we are very aware that the transition from primary to secondary school can be a daunting yet exciting time. This is just one aspect of what we do to ensure this can be a very positive experience for our students, and at the same time teaching them about the world of opportunity that awaits them.
